Sanction Show 06/09/03

The Great Northern Rottweiler Club held its sanctioning show on June 9, 2003, at Centennial Park in Anchorage, Alaska.  Many thanks to our judge, Tony Becherer (pictured left with club President Kathy Carmen).  Tony came up from sunny California to judge our sanctioning show as well as offering seminars on subjects such as the BH, the BST and tracking.

In a handler's class, Tony teaches the preferred

position of having the dog in a sit when showing the bite.  This position provides a less stressful method of exhibiting the teeth for the dog and handler.

During the practice BST, Freddie exhibits the sound temperament expected by sitting quietly while a crowd of strangers approaches his handler.
